The seventh largest public gallery in Ontario, the Burlington Art Centre focuses on nuturing artistic development and promoting fine crafts. Features changing exhibits and a large permanent exhibit that includes Canada's largest collection of contemporary Ceramic Art. A variety of studio courses are available. Cedar Ridge Creative Centre and Art Gallery is a public art space operated by the City of Toronto. For 10 months of the year, the Cedar Ridge Gallery hosts a diverse roster of exhibits. From January to March, the gallery sponsors the Contemporary Art Exhibitions, five two-week juried exhibits featuring contemporary artists from across Ontario. Housed in a historic mansion, Cedar Ridge is surrounded by lush gardens and scenic woods. The main house features the gallery, which encompasses much of the lower floor. Innovative art exhibitions featuring a variety of media are held in the gallery from September to June. The upper floor of the house, as well as the adjacent Carriage House, consists of working studio spaces where engaging hands-on creative arts programs are offered for all ages.
