Uxbridge Historic Sites & Interpretive Centres
The historic centre is composed of the Manse where Canadian author ,L.M. Montgomery lived for 15 years from 1911 to 1926. Here she wrote 11 of 22 novels and her poetry book, raised her children and volunteered in the community. The manse is restored to 1917. The church has displays on her life and work in Leaskdale.
